A countdown of 100 images for the 100 days leading up to the 100th Year of Finland's independence

This UFF charity shop on Fredrikinkatu is around the corner from my office and I think has some of the best window displays in Helsinki. It helps that they also have some of the coolest retro second hand clothing in their basement but it still requires a stylist with an eclectic eye to come up with some of the combinations of clothing they put on their mannequins. Obviously, this photo doesn’t showcase those talents very well but it still looked pretty striking as I walked passed it after another late night retouching session. Maybe sometimes less is more! UFF is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organisation founded in 1987. They have over 600 container sites throughout Finland and, in 2015, UFF Finland collected and recycled over 13 million kilos of clothes. These clothes are then resold through their 16 stores to generate funds for development aid projects in Africa and in India.
