A countdown of 100 images for the 100 days leading up to the 100th Year of Finland's independence

When you’re wearing the right gear, being outside in below zero with snow falling and strong gusts buffeting you is actually a rather pleasant thing to be doing, especially as I should be in the office. Although it still surprises me how grey everything becomes at this time of year when the clouds are low and the snow reflects the grey sky back up. If it wasn’t for the russet tones of the leaves on these three little trees, this could be a black and white photo. Even the green on the spruce in the background seems to have lost it’s colour and that’s after I’ve pumped up the saturation slightly.
