PotD: Red, Green and Blue on the Altiplano

Rolling hills, mountains in the distance, mineral rich earth, a lake, dry scrubland in the foreground… One of the many spots on an epic journey through the Bolivian altiplano where you just have to stop and look, if only for a few seconds, before continuing on to the next stunning landscape. A truly amazing part of the world and feeling blessed to be able to experience it for a short while.

Admittedly, it’s probably easier to enjoy the beauty when your livelihood does not depend on when the next rainfall is coming, with ‘El Niño’ delaying the seasonal rains, and your livestock struggling to find enough water.
