A countdown of 100 images for the 100 days leading up to the 100th Year of Finland's independence

I so enjoyed my previous walk on Seurasaari that I went back there with my partner on another glorious winter’s day for more of the same. Blue skies, temperature of minus something, and those amazingly old wooden buildings collected from all over Finland at Seurasaari Open-air Museum. Even though the museum is closed for the winter, they still look impressive. This image is the side of an old lifeboat shed right by the water’s edge. The faded blue anchor against the peeling red paint, with the petite tree trunk in the foreground, had such a lovely balance and texture to it that it just cried out to be photographed.
