Finland 100: 34 – Boot Brush Time

A countdown of 100 images for the 100 days leading up to the 100th Year of Finland's independence
Yesterday we had our first hint of sleet, so it won’t be long now before the first bit of winter arrives, the ‘not-so-wonderland’ stage – cold but not enough to freeze over. The brush at least keeps most of the sludge outside the front door. Here’s to hoping we have a proper cold winter this year, with plenty of snow. Then I can get back out onto the cross-country ski trails in Keskuspuisto, Helsinki’s central park, and see how my gliding techniques have come along. If I wasn’t so hot and bothered by my efforts, I’d laugh at how all the retirees overtake me with the greatest of ease. Must be something you’re born with!
