A countdown of 100 images for the 100 days leading up to the 100th Year of Finland's independence
Like almost everywhere, Finland has an abundance of glass and steel structures, predominantly in the business districts where the sleek glass cathedrals evangelise to the faithful. It would be easy to show a positive image highlighting the many ways light interacts with the building’s skeletal form but I just thought I’d stick with my grungy theme from yesterday’s post. Figuratively speaking, the fractured glass detail tells a story, possibly not a very pretty one, but a story nevertheless. Maybe I should go back and splash a little bit of red paint here and there to add a little bit more to the fiction. Or maybe I should stop watching all those violent TV dramas.
