Finland 100: 29 – All the Leaves are Brown

…and the sky is grey. I’ve been for a walk but it’s actually still only late autumn, there’s a way to go before we’re into full-blown winter. As for California Dreamin’, that’d be nice but this papa and mama are happy just to be inside out of that piercing wind, sipping a rather pleasant red wine. Most of the leaves will be down off the trees after the winds we’re having this weekend, the teams of rakers will be back out on Monday, then that could be it as far as leaves go for another year. Long nights, frost and snow still to come! Let’s hope that we have a proper winter this year, with plenty of snow, and cold enough for the seas to freeze over. The worst is when it jumps back and forth either side of zero degrees.
