Journey with Myself: Elements

I’m not sure why it is that some images resonate with me more than others. Looking at the images in this collection, I’m intrigued that many of them are details, or elements, of their surroundings that are not trying to capture a record of a moment. Instead, they are happy to leave their story unclear, not needing to be part of a visual narrative, maybe even leaving a question hanging in the air. Sometimes it’s as simple as a splash of colour, a texture, a sense of balance, the occasional existential note… Whatever it is, it makes me smile.

If you’re interested in some more info on these images, many of them appear with accompanying text in my Journal posts in the Solo South America category.
