The Reduction of Europa

Prior to moving to Helsinki in 2002, I lived the majority of my formative adult life in London. As such, I try to keep up to date with what is going on in the UK, so I was one of many shocked to discover that Brexit was to become a reality. I had no idea that the EU was held in such low regard by so many, willing to throw away the common goals that bound our different nations together and leave it to a bunch of political chancers to rearrange the socio-political landscape. I am concerned at the possible further fragmentation of Europe, the closing of borders, the rise of a right-wing agenda, the increased deregulation of the labour market for the benefit of neo-liberal capitalism… I could go on but shall leave it to the images below to try and convey my thoughts.
