It’s not often that I appear on the other side of the lens so I thought I’d say hello with this self-portrait shot on our first overnight stay in the Bolivian altiplano. The dormitory accommodation was very basic during the tour but was always clean, with plenty of blankets to keep you warm once the generators shut down for the night. Travelling alone you never know who your fellow travel companions will be when you venture out on group tours. All I can say is that I lucked out and we were a great group. And, yes, there does seem to be a few empty sparkling wine bottles in the picture. There were about ten of us sitting round the table, out of shot, and it was xmas eve, after all!
